Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the community. It begins in our own church family.
Mission Outreach
The Community of Sycamore Life is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom. We are active in the Town of Greenwood and surrounding area. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
Salt and Shine Ministries
Our family outreach is designed to build strong and lasting bonds within the family unit. Events include: Jesus in the park, Barksdale air show, family fun day, and family game nights. We hope you will join us in the fun.
One Way Ministries is a Christ-centered recovery ministry focused on leading people to recovery at the foot of the cross. We guide those needing to break free from personal battles including addiction, depression, PTSD, domestic abuse and other trials and tribulations.
Entangled Ministry
Our Couples only ministry that focuses on marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Through our ministry “Entangled” We serve families as marriage counselors and teach them their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Our hope is that couples find fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.
Youth Ministry
“The Rooted” is our teenage group. Pastor Jimmy and Cheri truly believe that It’s VERY important to instill in our young people the LOVE of Jesus Christ through His word and guide them on a level that will help them “get it”!
“The Seedlings” is our young children’s ministry. They are birth to 3 years. As seedlings, we cultivate their soil with GOD’s word and water them with the living water Jesus. That is the only way they become fruitful trees.
“The Sprouts” is our little older children’s ministry. They are ages four and up.
